Red Bull Austin Race Nights: MIXMODE Brings DJ + Live Guitar to Austin's F1 Weekend

MIXMODE played Red Bull Austin Race Nights at Big Texas in Austin on Saturday, October 24, 2026, during United States Grand Prix weekend: Jordan Miller on the DJ decks and Kristian Cruz on live electric guitar, billed as MIXMODE.

Saturday was qualifying day at Circuit of The Americas, with the Grand Prix on Sunday, October 25. Race Nights was in town, at Big Texas, away from the track.

The setup

A clip from the night shows the format: the DJ decks on a Red Bull flight-case booth, a video wall behind, and the guitarist working the stage beside the decks. Two performers, one booth, and a guitar that can move.

That is the same format MIXMODE plays at brand activations, festivals and private events: a DJ set built for the room, with live electric guitar played over it in real time.

Why this format works on a race-weekend bill

Race weekend nights in Austin are crowded with events, and guests move between them. A DJ keeps the room going without gaps between acts. Live guitar gives people something to watch, and something to film, which is how a night travels after it ends.

For a brand, that combination fits a sponsored stage: the booth carries the branding, and the performance carries the attention.
