Real campus footage
This is what the night looks like.
A DJ set with a live electric guitarist on the same stage. The crowd gets the records they already know, plus somebody actually playing in front of them. That is the part students film and put on their stories.

Played alongside
The names your chapter actually cares about.
Jordan started out as a college DJ in Central Florida, playing parties alongside SteveWillDoIt and Kirill Was Here of Assholes Live Forever. The bills got bigger from there. Roles are listed honestly - a shared festival stage is not a support slot.

What it is
Fraternities & Sororities with Mixmode.
Booking Mixmode for Greek life means your chapter gets a two-person show as the main entertainment: DJ Jordan Miller on the decks and Kristian Cruz on live electric guitar, together, on every booking. The set is open format with Country EDM at the center — country hooks rebuilt over festival drops — plus hip-hop, current radio, 2010s throwbacks, and pop-punk singalongs, with real guitar solos played live over the top. Sets are programmed to the event: a formal with a hard start and end, a daytime tailgate, a bid day or date party, or a ticketed philanthropy show that has to hold a paying crowd. Where the venue has no PA or lights, a scaled sound, lighting, and effects package is quoted with the show instead of arriving as a surprise second invoice.
Who it's for
- Social chairs booking formals, semi-formals, date parties, and bid day
- Philanthropy chairs producing a ticketed chapter event or concert
- Chapter presidents and advisors coordinating with university risk management
- Multi-chapter groups splitting one headline booking across a weekend
- Sorority social and event chairs booking a mixer, formal, or game-day party
- Panhellenic and IFC councils programming an all-Greek night
Why buyers book it
What fraternities bookers get.
Chapters that have already booked us
Phi Gamma Delta, Delta Sigma Phi, and Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Texas. Jordan also came up playing Central Florida college parties alongside Kirill Was Here of Assholes Live Forever and SteveWillDoIt — this is the circuit he learned in, not one we expanded into.
The sound your chapter already plays
Country EDM sits at the center of the set, with hip-hop, current radio, and 2010s throwbacks mixed through — nobody has to be talked into liking it.
A live guitarist, not a laptop
Kristian plays the hooks and solos live on every booking. That's the part the chapter films, and the reason the floor doesn't thin out between songs.
One fee, itemized
Availability and a fee range inside one business day, with travel and production add-ons listed separately so your exec board can see exactly what it's approving.
Works indoors, outdoors, or on a field
Chapter house, bar buyout, ranch, ballroom, or intramural field — each gets its own set plan and, where there's no house PA, a scaled sound and lighting package.
Runs the room
MC work, chants, philanthropy announcements, and superlatives handled from the stage, so the night stays on schedule without a separate host.
Nothing that worries nationals
Radio-clean sets on request, certificates of insurance, W-9s, and a set that ends on the clock you give us.

The format
Why DJ + live guitar is different.
Most chapter events hire a DJ and get exactly what a DJ gives — a playlist and a booth. Adding a live electric guitarist turns it into something the chapter films and talks about: recognizable hooks played live, real solos over the drops, and a performance people gather around instead of drifting from. It's the difference between a party with music and a show at your party.
What a chapter night actually looks like
This is the night your row talks about.
Not a guy behind a laptop. A DJ set and a live electric guitarist on the same stage, playing the songs your chapter already screams — country anthems rebuilt over festival drops, hip-hop, throwbacks, and pop-punk singalongs, with real solos played over the top. Lights, lasers, haze and CO2 come with it.
The practical version: one load-in, one point of contact, one flat number, and a room that stays full until you end it.
Run of show
How we build the night.
Every chapter event gets a programmed set, not a shuffled playlist. Here's the shape of a standard two-hour formal or house party — adjusted around your curfew, your dates, and your chants.
01
Doors
Walk-in music already running when the first brothers and dates arrive — the room never feels like it's waiting on the DJ.
02
First 30
Country EDM and current radio, mixed wide. Guitar sits back, hooks up front, everyone finds the floor before anyone gets self-conscious.
03
Peak hour
This is what the chapter films. Live guitar over the drops, chapter chants worked into the mix, and every anthem the row already screams.
04
Throwback block
2010s bangers, hip-hop, and pop-punk singalongs — the block that pulls the guys standing by the coolers onto the floor.
05
Last 20
Highest energy of the night, then a planned landing so the event ends on your schedule instead of a security cut-off.
Compare your options
DJ, band, or Mixmode.
Most chapters choose between the campus DJ everyone has already heard and a cover band that costs more than the social budget. The hybrid duo sits in between — one act, live playing, festival production.
| Option | What arrives | Floor energy | Content for the chapter | Paperwork |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The usual campus DJ | One guy, laptop, house speakers | Playlist energy — dips between songs | Nothing worth posting | Usually none |
| A cover band | 4–6 players, long load-in | Great sets, but not the songs the row screams | Photos, few reels | Rider, backline, stage size |
| Mixmode | DJ + live electric guitar, one truck | Built to peak on cue, live solos over the drops | Reels all night — guitar on the rail, crowd shots | COI, W-9, vendor forms handled |
What drives the price
Where the money goes.
No public price list — chapter budgets and venues differ too much for that to be honest. These are the five things that move the number, so you can shape the ask before you take it to your exec board.
- Date & travel
- Home-game weekends and formal season go first. Austin and Texas dates are drive-in; fly dates add travel.
- Venue production
- If the venue has a real PA and lights, you pay for the show. If it doesn't, a scaled sound and lighting package is quoted separately.
- Set length
- Most chapter events land between 90 minutes and two hours. Multi-set nights and afterparties are quoted on top.
- Add-ons
- CO2, confetti, cold spark, and LED content are itemized so the chapter can cut them without losing the show.
- Split bookings
- Two or three chapters sharing a headline night split one fee — the cheapest way for the row to get this act.
Social chair kit
Send these six things.
Include this in your first message and you get availability plus a fee range back within one business day — usually the same afternoon.
- Date, campus, and venue (chapter house, bar buyout, ranch, ballroom, or field)
- Rough headcount and whether dates or other chapters are invited
- Start and end times, plus any campus or venue curfew
- Whether the venue has a PA and lights, or whether we should bring the rig
- Clean-set requirement — say the word and the whole set is radio-safe
- Who signs: chapter, national, or the university's vendor system
For your advisor and risk chair
Certificates of insurance, W-9s, and university vendor agreements are standard, radio-clean sets can be specified for the entire night, and the set ends on the clock you give us. Nothing about this booking should create a conversation with nationals.
Send it to the chapter
Drop this in the group chat.
Social chairs have to sell this to an exec board and a house full of opinions. Copy the pitch, paste it in GroupMe, and let the video do the rest.

FAQs
Answered.
Still have questions? Send them in the quote form — we reply personally within one business day.
How do we get a price?
Send the date, campus, venue, and event type through the form. You'll get availability and a fee range within one business day. There's no public price list because chapter budgets and venues differ too much for a single number to be honest.
What does the booking include?
Every Mixmode booking is the duo — DJ Jordan Miller on the decks and Kristian Cruz on live electric guitar together. Sound, lighting, and effects packages are quoted with the show when the venue doesn't have production of its own.
How long do you play?
Most chapter events land between 90 minutes and two hours. Shorter tailgate sets and multi-set nights, including an afterparty, can be quoted.
Can you play an outdoor tailgate?
Yes. Outdoor bookings should include a covered stage or a defined weather contingency, and a scaled sound package can be brought in where there's no PA.
Do you play at the chapter house, or only at venues?
Both. House parties, bar buyouts, ranches, ballrooms, and fields all work — the sound and lighting package is sized to the space and the available power.
Are clean sets available?
Yes — radio-safe edits can be specified for the whole set, which is usually what an advisor or university venue wants to hear.
Can you take requests from the chapter?
Yes. Send a shortlist and any chapter anthems or chants ahead of the date and they're worked into the set plan rather than dropped in cold.
Can you work with our university's requirements?
Yes. We're used to venue and university paperwork, including certificates of insurance, W-9s, and vendor agreements.
How far ahead should we book?
Formal season and home-game weekends go first. Two to four months of lead time is comfortable; popular weekends confirm earlier.
What confirms the booking?
A signed performance agreement and a 50% deposit hold the date, with the balance due day-of-show.
Can multiple chapters share a booking?
Yes — a shared headline date across chapters is quoted as one booking, which is usually the cheapest way for the row to get this act.
Do you travel to our campus?
Yes. Mixmode is based in Austin and plays fly and drive dates nationwide; travel is itemized in the quote.
