Production
Event Production
that comes with the act.
Sound, lighting, LED content, and effects — available as add-ons to a Mixmode booking, scaled to your room and quoted with the date. Not a standalone production company: a way to avoid sourcing a second vendor for a room that has nothing in it.
What it is
One vendor for the show and the rig.
Most venues that book live music already have house sound and lighting, and for those events nothing here is needed — the technical rider goes to your production team and the show advances normally. The add-ons on this page exist for the other case: a ranch, a backyard, an office floor, a tent, or a room where the in-house system can't carry a full performance.
In those situations the package is assembled and managed with production partners in your market, advanced by Mixmode, and quoted as a separate line item next to the performance fee. You get one point of contact for the entertainment and the equipment instead of coordinating two vendors who have never worked together.
Who it's for
- Hosts with a private venue and no in-house PA
- Planners producing outdoor, tented, or ranch events
- Corporate teams without a contracted AV vendor
- Promoters in rooms where the house rig won't cover the show
- Anyone who'd rather not manage a second vendor
Available add-ons
Quoted per room, never assumed.
Sound
PA scaled to the space and guest count, with monitors and a mix position. Sized at advance rather than guessed from a package tier.
Lighting
Stage wash, effect lighting, and looks programmed to the set so the peaks read visually as well as sonically.
LED content
LED wall or screen content — branded visuals for corporate and sponsor work, or house content for club and festival nights.
Effects
CO2 jets, low-fog, and confetti cannons where the venue and fire marshal permit them.
Custom audio
Bespoke intros, walk-in music, custom edits, and first-dance or brand-moment arrangements prepared before the date.
MC and stage direction
Announcements, introductions, and timeline cues handled from the stage instead of by a separate host.
Nothing above is included by default. Each item is confirmed as available in your market and priced with the booking, so the quote reflects your actual venue rather than a generic package.
How it runs
From site check to strike.
- 01
Site details
Venue type, indoor or outdoor, guest count, power availability, and whether anything is already installed in the room.
- 02
Scoped quote
A production line item sized to that information, itemized separately from the performance fee.
- 03
Advance
Roughly 30 days out the plan is locked with the venue — load-in times, power, stage or performance area, and effect approvals.
- 04
Show day
Load-in, set-up, soundcheck, the performance, and strike, coordinated by the same team that booked the show.
Questions
Production, answered.
- Is production included in the performance fee?
- No. Production is a separate line item quoted with the booking. Where a venue already has house sound and lighting, most events need nothing extra beyond the technical rider.
- What if our venue has no sound system at all?
- That's the most common reason to add production. A scaled PA, monitors, and lighting package can be brought in and is quoted based on the space, guest count, and whether the event is indoors or outdoors.
- Do you own the gear or subcontract it?
- Packages are assembled and managed with production partners in the market where the event takes place. Mixmode advances and coordinates it so you're dealing with one point of contact rather than a separate vendor.
- Can you work with our existing AV vendor instead?
- Yes, and often that's the better option. We advance the technical rider, stage plot, and input list directly with whoever you've already contracted.
- What visual options are available?
- LED wall content — branded or house visuals — plus stage lighting looks programmed to the set. Content requirements are confirmed at advance so the wall isn't running defaults.
- Do you offer effects like CO2 or confetti?
- CO2 jets, low-fog, and confetti cannons can be added where the venue permits them. Venue approval and fire-marshal requirements are confirmed before they're quoted.
- How far in advance do production add-ons need to be locked?
- Roughly 30 days out, at the same time as the technical advance. Later changes are possible but availability and pricing depend on the market.
