What it is
Private Events with Mixmode.
Private event booking means Mixmode performs a headline-style set for a guest list rather than a ticketed crowd. The show is the same hybrid format — DJ plus live electric guitar — scaled down in volume and production to suit a home, ranch, estate, or private venue. Because most private venues have no house production, this is the booking type where the scaled sound and lighting package matters most; it's quoted with the date once we know the space and guest count.

The format
Why DJ + live guitar is different.
At a private event the entertainment is the room's focal point, and a DJ alone rarely holds that on its own. The hybrid duo gives you a live player to watch through dinner and a genuine dance floor later, without the footprint, load-in, and volume floor of a full band. It's also why the same booking can cover both halves of the night rather than needing two acts.

Our venue has no sound system — can you handle that?
Yes. A scaled sound and lighting package can be brought in and is quoted separately based on the space and expected attendance.
Can the set be quieter for dinner and bigger later?
Yes. A typical private night starts guitar-forward and lower-tempo, then builds into the full hybrid show once dinner and toasts are done.
Will anything from our event be posted?
Not without written approval. Private bookings are treated as private by default.
How small an event will you play?
The format scales down comfortably for an intimate guest list — the show is adjusted rather than shortened.
Do you travel for destination events?
Yes. Home base is Austin, Texas, with fly dates nationwide. Travel, ground, and lodging are billed at cost per the rider.
What confirms the date?
A signed performance agreement and a 50% deposit, with the balance due day-of-show.
