What it is
Weddings & Afterparties with Mixmode.
Wedding booking means Mixmode covers your day as a single hybrid act instead of a DJ plus a separate band. Live electric guitar carries the ceremony and cocktail hour, then the DJ set takes over for the reception and afterparty with the guitar playing over the peaks. Announcements and MC duties can be handled from the stage, custom arrangements are available for the first dance, and where the venue has no in-house production a scaled sound and lighting package can be quoted with the booking.
Who it's for
- Couples who want a real dance floor rather than background music
- Wedding planners sourcing one act to cover the whole day
- Venues and coordinators needing a vendor who advances properly
- Couples adding a late-night afterparty after a traditional reception
Why buyers book it
What weddings bookers get.
One booking for the whole day
Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and afterparty covered by the same duo — no handoff between a band and a DJ halfway through the night.
A first dance played live
Your song arranged for live electric guitar over the mix, rehearsed before the day rather than pulled off a streaming service.
Requests without a jukebox night
Your must-play and do-not-play lists are built into the set, and the room is still read live rather than run off a fixed order.
Production where the venue has none
Barn, ranch, and outdoor venues often have no PA. A scaled sound and lighting package can be included in the quote.

The format
Why DJ + live guitar is different.
A wedding band plays a fixed catalog and takes breaks; a wedding DJ can play anything but gives your guests nothing to watch. Mixmode is one act that does both: live electric guitar for the moments that should feel human — ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance — and a genre-crossing DJ set for the hours when the only thing that matters is keeping the floor full.

FAQs
Answered.
Still have questions? Send them in the quote form — we reply personally within one business day.
Can you cover the ceremony and the reception?
Yes — that's the standard wedding booking. Live guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour, then the full hybrid show for the reception and afterparty.
Will you learn our first dance song?
Yes. Custom first-dance arrangements are a standard request and are rehearsed ahead of the day.
Do you MC the reception?
Announcements and introductions can be handled from the stage. If you're using a separate MC or coordinator, we work to their timeline.
Our venue has no sound system — is that a problem?
No. A scaled sound and lighting package can be quoted with the booking based on the space and guest count.
How far in advance do weddings book?
Four to nine months is typical, and prime Saturday dates go earlier. Short-lead dates are considered when the tour routing allows.
Can we give you a must-play and do-not-play list?
Yes, both. They're locked in during the planning calls and the set is built around them.
