Why We're Called MIXMODE
The name is the mission statement: we MIX up the genres. Country into house, emo into hip-hop, first dance into a rave.

Every artist name is a promise. Ours is literal.
MIX — because a night with us is never one genre. Country crossover into 2000s hip-hop into a house drop into a Fleetwood Mac guitar solo. If it will move a room, it is in play.
MODE — because we shift modes on the fly. Wedding-cocktail mode, festival-mainstage mode, corporate-gala mode, dive-bar-until-2am mode. Same duo, different gear.
Why the format demands the name
A solo DJ is limited to what fits in the library. A live band is limited to what they rehearsed. A hybrid guitar + DJ duo has neither ceiling.
That is why "mode" matters more than "style." Style locks you in. Modes are things you switch between.
What you get
One act that reads the room in real time and changes format to match. Country wedding in Dallas? Country crossover. Corporate conference in Vegas? House with live guitar hooks. Emo-night takeover? Full pop-punk cover set.
Same two people. Different mode.
That is the name. That is the show.

Playlists & Song Ideas
Crafting the Ultimate Pop-Punk Party Playlist
The best pop-punk party songs prioritize singalong choruses, high energy, and nostalgic appeal, making tracks like "Dammit" by blink-182 and "Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy essential. A successful pop-punk set list balances iconic anthems with slightly deeper cuts, keeping the crowd engaged through a mix of fast tempos and memorable hooks. Programming these songs effectively means understanding the ebb and flow of a party, ensuring consistent energy without burning out the audience too quickly.
